GENERAL INDICATION OF THE LOCOMOTIVES IN PT. INDONESIAN RAILWAYS (PT. KERETA API INDONESIA)

(1) The long list of locomotives, heavy ready, and traction power 

(2) The numbering of the locomotive is organized as follows. 

a. For each type of locomotive, numbering written in the middle

d. Equipment identification numbers for numbering the successor power
locomotives: 

1 = electric locomotives,
2 = diesel electric locomotives,
3 = diesel hydraulic locomotives, and
4 = a combination of electric locomotives and diesel electric.
e. Examples of the locomotive numbering is
BB 201 64 01. That is,
Using B = 2 bogie wheels each 2
mover.
201 = diesel electric locomotive type series 01.
64 = Starting operated in Indonesia in 1964.
01 = Number sequence.
BB 301 78 03. That is,
Using B = 2 bogie wheels each 2
mover.
301 = diesel hydraulic locomotive type series 01.
78 = Starting operated in Indonesia in 1978.
03 = Number sequence.
CC 204 08 02. That is,
Using CC = 2 bogies with each of the 3 wheels
mover.
204 = diesel electric locomotive type series 04.
08 = Starting operated in Indonesia in 2008.
02 = Number sequence.
CC 401 08 02. That is,
Using CC = 2 bogies with each of the 3 wheels
mover.
401 = Locomotive combination of electric and diesel electric series
type 01.
08 = Starting operated in Indonesia in 2008.
02 = Number sequence.
 

(3) the domicile of the parent sign the locomotive Dipo

a. Signs locomotive Dipo parent or domicile of the locomotive

written on both the outside wall under the locomotive numbers with paint color black

b. Writing of the capital letter  

"DIPO LOK" stands along the position of the locomotive Dipo, for example DIPO LOK YK.
YK = Abbreviation of Yogyakarta, which is the seat of Dipo locomotive.
